About Me
I bring product expertise, technological know-how, and optimism to identify and solve society's most important problems. I am currently a Machine Learning Engineer at Health[at]Scale working on personalized interventions to promote better wellness at scale. Previously, I led enterprise solutions into new markets as a product manager at PayPal; created my own apps to combat depression and political polarization in social media at MACH4 Technologies; and helped build one of the first versions of the metaverse as a product manager at High Fidelity.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and completed my undergraduate at UC Berkeley with a triple major in Business, Economics, and Statistics. As a computer science Master's student and DeepMind Scholar at UC San Diego, I developed SmokeyNet, a computer vision model for real-time wildfire smoke detection. SmokeyNet was a pioneering effort towards UCSD's statewide AlertCalifornia system, named one of Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2023.
For fun, I enjoy watching films and reading books to understand how narratives depict and shape society. As a formal mentor through JUMP, I've started a blog sharing professional advice for computer science undergrads. I am a self-taught coder, perpetual learner, and profuse note-taker—you can learn more about my work, interests, notes, and blog in the links below.
